Direct Therapy Responsibilities
- Provide quality 1:1 instruction to clients with developmental delays in communication, social, play, and adaptive skills
- Implement individualized and group programs that develop social, language, life, and academic skills for clients with developmental delays
- Conduct specific behavioral therapy with clients according to instruction and guidance from supervisor
- Administer behavioral drills and specific behavior therapy in clinic or home environments
- Collect data, prepare summaries, and record anecdotal therapy notes while maintaining organized client program notebooks
- Encourage communication and appropriate social interactions
- Assist in maintaining disciplined and orderly therapy sessions
- Graph client data and maintain updated data sheets
- Assist BCBA with ongoing assessments, instruction, and communication for clients enrolled in services
- Record objective daily data to reflect client progress toward goals
- Maintain objective daily session notes
Team Responsibilities
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
- Receive and respond appropriately to voice messages, emails, faxes, and mail within 24 hours
- Regularly report outcomes to supervisors and parents through scheduled team progress meetings
- Update team members on child and family status through voice-mail, email, team meetings, and other communication methods
- Adhere to all company policies and codes of conduct
- Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Fill in for callouts when needed
- Summarize client progress and audit session notes
- Maintain inventory of clinic materials
- Enter programs and goals into electronic platforms
- Assist with scheduling parent training meetings and team meetings for clients
- Design program and training materials
- Assist with sessions, intake assessments, and additional clinic needs when necessary
- Assist with programming, parent training, and treatment plans
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma
- Must possess Registered Behavior Technician certification issued by the BACB
- Must hold a valid CPR license
- Valid driver’s license required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with special needs
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Successful completion of criminal history background check
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and familiar with Google Workspace
